HealthReach Community Health Centers welcome Edward Molleo as Director of Communications & Outreach

WATERVILLE – HealthReach Community Health Centers have announced the hiring of Edward Molleo as Director of Communications & Outreach. With the addition of partnership and development work, Molleo also oversees the Connector program across eleven practice locations. Connectors provide Marketplace navigation for everyone, and other social services support for patients of all HealthReach practice locations.

A lifelong resident of Maine, Molleo previously served as Public Health Volunteer Manager with the Maine Center for Disease Control & Prevention under contract with the AdCare Educational Institute of Maine. He spent his last two years with Maine CDC in emergency response, where he led several staffing efforts: for temporary shelter healthcare services within the Portland Expo, working alongside Maine Public Health Nurses to provide health screenings and vaccinations over two months for 450 asylum seekers; for community behavioral health supports, coordinating with the Maine Disaster Behavioral Health Program and American Red Cross after an unfortunate facility explosion in Farmington; and for significant, emergent staffing needs during Maine CDC’s long-running statewide COVID-19 response.

Molleo looks forward to bringing his planning, communications, and coalition-building expertise to the nonprofit mission-driven environment encompassed by HealthReach – and especially to its patients and local partners.

HealthReach Community Health Centers are a group of twelve Federally Qualified Health Centers located across Central and Western Maine. Dedicated providers deliver high quality medical and behavioral healthcare to citizens from 9 of Maine’s 16 counties. To ensure access to everyone, HealthReach accepts Medicare, MaineCare, and major insurance providers. In addition, an Affordable Care Program is available to both uninsured and underinsured residents. Assistance is available for applications to programs that help with the cost of your healthcare and medications, including the Health Insurance Marketplace.
