This event is a part of National Health Center Week, designated to recognize the contributions of Community Health Centers in providing access to affordable, high quality, health care to medically underserved people in the U.S. America's Health Centers serve over 20 million people in 50 states. In Maine, 19 federally qualified health centers operate 100 delivery sites across the state and serve 200,000 people. That’s one in six Mainers!

As the nation marks the 45th Anniversary of the creation of the Health Center program, HealthReach proudly celebrates 35 years of providing medical care in central and western Maine.

Strong Area Health Center is a practice of HealthReach Community Health Centers, a system of eleven federally qualified health centers in Central and Western Maine. Dedicated providers deliver first-class health care to citizens in over 80 rural communities. To ensure access for everyone, HealthReach accepts major insurances as well as Medicare and MaineCare. In addition, uninsured and underinsured patients have access to an Affordable Care Program and assistance with applications for other programs that help with health care and medication costs.
