Press ReleaseRelease Date: October 6, 2011 Free Living Well class returns to Madison Area Health Center MADISON – The Madison Area Health center is pleased to announce that the successful Living Well class is returning this fall, starting Wednesday November 9 at 9 a.m. This nationally recognized course is designed to help people with chronic conditions. It was developed at the Stanford School of Medicine and has been shown to help participants understand and deal with chronic diseases like diabetes, obesity, chronic pain, etc. The class was held at the health center this spring and those who completed the class report better general health with less fatigue and disability. Classes run from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. each Tuesday for six weeks, from November 9 to December 14. Participants have the opportunity to interact with each other while gaining support and skills to help with their chronic condition. Living Well focuses on being more independent, productive, and pro-active about your health to increase your quality of life.
