Meet Kingfield’s newest medical provider and honor departing board president at open house

KINGFIELD– Mt. Abram Regional Health Center will hold an open house on Thursday, September 8 from 4 – 6 p.m. at its 25 Depot Street location where the public will have an opportunity to meet and welcome their newest provider, Shannon Doughty, FNP and honor health center board president Don Fowler, who is retiring. Light refreshments will be served and tours of the health center will also be available.

Shannon Doughty joined the medical team in the spring and has seen much success so far. She brings over five years of experience as a family nurse practitioner in a variety of settings including family practice, urgent care and sub acute settings working with infants 30 days old to retired citizens of 104 years.

"I am loving my job at Mt. Abram," says Shannon. "I am enjoying getting to know my patients. It has been very rewarding for me. I look forward to each day and the coming years I will spend with my colleagues and neighbors."

Don Fowler has been on the board of directors since the health center’s inception in 1986, and has played an integral role in the health center’s ongoing success through the years. He has also served as board president for a number of years. Please join us in wishing Don well with his future endeavors.
